Advising and representing a Non – Executive, Independent Director in one of IL&FS Companies - Ms. Neera Saggi, a retired IAS officer now serving on the Board of several top companies. We continue to advise Ms Saggi in legal proceedings for protection from an asset freeze ordered by the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) which was successfully vacated by the Hon’ble Supreme Court. The disputes have arisen on account of impleadment of Ms. Saggi, a Non-Executive Independent Director, in proceedings initiated against a holding company.

Represented a Non – Executive, Independent Director in one of Firestar companies (Nirav Modi). We succeeded in our representations before NCLT, NCLAT and finally obtained a stay of an “asset freeze” by the Hon’ble Supreme Court.

Advised and represented a leading real estate developer/builder and businessman of Kolkata in proceedings initiated against him under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 post the demonetization move of the Government of India.

Advised and represented one of the leading wagon/metro car manufacturers in the country before the Supreme Court of India in matters arising out of and pertaining to a tender floated by the Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation Ltd for design, manufacture, supply, testing, Commissioning of Passenger Rolling Stock (Electrical Multiple Units) and training of personnel at Nagpur Metro Rail Project.

Advised and represented one of the major Indian conglomerates before various forums and courts, in addition to rendering advisory and consultancy on various legal issues.

Represented one of the leading manufacturers of defense equipment containers in a proceeding before the Competition Commission of India.

Represented and advised a leading global defence equipment manufacturer and supplier in connection with litigations initiated against the ‘blacklisting’ of such manufacturer by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India on allegations of corruption; we have advised the said entity in ongoing criminal investigations in connection with allegations of corruption.

Advised and represented one of the main accused, Mr. A.K. Roy in appeals pending before the Delhi High Court pertaining to ‘MBBS Seat allocation Scam’. The appeals were filed against respective orders of conviction passed in criminal proceedings arising from alleged illegal allocation of MBBS/BDS seats issued in Tripura to students otherwise ineligible for such seats.
